Learn about the royal history of Rwanda at The Palace of King Mutara III Rudahigwa, built in the 1930s by the Belgians. Although much of the palace’s furniture disappeared during the 1994 genocide, the home remains an interesting place with its three sitting rooms, one of which served for receiving only white guests. Game drives are the main attraction to the park and you can be part of an organized safari with a driver and a guide or you can get more adventurous and then drive yourself in your own vehicle, but mostly we recommend safari cars. By driving yourself, it will be more fun but you will not know where to look for the animals from and this might be more annoying.

The wildlife in Akagera has also increased over time therefore, you will see animals like giraffes, Impalas, Topis, the Zebras, bush bucks, African swallows, eland, the vervet monkeys, warthogs, baboons, Mongoose, the hippos, the crocodiles, as well as the elephants.  meals include lunch and dinner and an over night at Akagera resort Hotel

This activity starts in the morning right after breakfast, with the help of a tour guide who knows where to find the monkey. it takes about 2-3hrs  and then back for lunch at the hotel then later go for the cultural village community walk.
